Documentation MCP

Guide to the separate, read-only Documentation MCP server at /mcp/docs — its tools, resources, and client setup for searching and reading published Agent Community documentation.

Endpoint: https://agentcommunity.org/mcp/docs

This is a documentation server, separate from the four-tool product MCP at /mcp. It reads published docs only. It cannot search members, registrations, private lists, Supabase, or authenticated pages.

Discovery

  • Manifest: https://agentcommunity.org/.well-known/mcp-docs.json
  • Compatibility-discovery card: https://agentcommunity.org/.well-known/mcp-docs/server-card.json

The card uses Agent Community's existing compatibility dialect for discovery tools such as Ora. It is not a claim of conformance to experimental MCP Server Card work or a ratified SEP-2127 location. The card enumerates this server's public tools and resources as compatibility metadata only.

Tools

  • search_docs — query published Agent Community documentation, maximum 10 results.
  • get_doc — read /developers, /docs, or one /docs/* path as Markdown.

Resources

  • https://agentcommunity.org/docs.md

Protocol revisions

Same dual-era behaviour as the product server, on the same terms: 2026-07-28 modern-style — server/discover, _meta-carried protocol version, the MCP-Protocol-Version / Mcp-Method / Mcp-Name headers, resultType and cache hints, and the modern error codes at HTTP 400 and 404 — alongside the legacy initialize handshake over 2025-11-25, 2025-06-18, 2025-03-26 and 2024-11-05. See MCP Server for the full table.

One deliberate difference from /mcp: this server advertises no MCP Apps ui:// view, so its capabilities.extensions never carries io.modelcontextprotocol/ui — not from initialize, not from server/discover.
