Founder
Balázs Nemethi is a Hungarian technologist and entrepreneur working at the intersection of internet infrastructure, identity, and applied AI. He is the founder of Agent Community and the author of AID, a DNS-first standard for agent identity and discovery. His work focuses on how trust, discoverability, and coordination evolve as software agents become first-class actors on the internet.
Over the past decade, Balázs has built trust and identity infrastructure across fintech, web3, and digital standards — serving as a Director at the Decentralized Identity Foundation, founding taqanu (a financial-inclusion company working with UNHCR and major European banks), and later founding Veri Labs where he became the inventor on a granted U.S. patent for programmable access control on blockchain assets.

A former core staffer at the Decentralized Identity Foundation — where he co-chaired the Interoperability Working Group and led editorial, education, and community development — he led standards work on Verite, the verifiable credential framework created by Circle and Coinbase for crypto-native identity, and contributed to the UCAN specification for capability-based authorization in the Protocol Labs ecosystem. He co-chairs DIF's Trusted AI Agents working group and his deep expertise in DIDs, verifiable credentials, and capability certificates connects Agent Community to the communities of practice building scalable identity infrastructure for agentic systems.
At Agent Community, András Czeizel supports community growth around the .agent namespace. He believes that as software agents and LLM-powered tools become a larger part of the web, open, community-led identity infrastructure will matter more than ever — for him, .agent represents exactly the kind of forward-looking internet initiative worth building behind. A Hungarian founder and community builder focused on how people, products, and emerging internet trends connect, he is also the Founder & CEO of YourSitee, where he works on helping creators and professionals present their online presence in a simpler, more personal way.

Esther Dyson
Long-time techy · founding chair of ICANN (1998–2000) · author of the forthcoming book ‘Term Limits: Human time and AI scale’ (MIT Press)“Having seen both the good and the bad of the domain name system and how some registries added value with good governance while others just extracted rent, I would love to see Agent Community granted the opportunity and the responsibility for getting things right with .agent. If so, I’m eager to work with them to make that happen.”

“In three years, your ‘agent’ will be doing everything from buying your groceries to managing your health data. If that identity is anchored in a TLD owned by a company whose business model is ‘data harvesting,’ you’ve already lost. Agent Community is the firebreak. We’re keeping the .agent namespace neutral because once a machine-readable identity is proprietary, privacy is dead.”
